Going To The Chapel: Cooie Sings at First Night Burlington!!

Yes, it's true - I'll be performing for First Night 2016 in my home town! The venue is the Chapel of the First Congregational Church on South Winooski Avenue. The Church proper is right across the intersection from Cherry Street, and the Chapel section, where I'm playing, is to the left (north) of the Church.

The mission of First Night Burlington is “to bring our community together for an accessible, healthy, and responsible New Year’s Eve celebration centered on the arts.” I'm so excited to bring my music to this celebration and to be a part of the Queen City's transition to the New Year.

For more details about First Night, including where to get your First Night Button, go to

Venue: First Congregational Church Chapel
Address: 38 So. Winooski Ave
Burlington, VT 05401
Time: 6:00pm, December 31

The First Congregational Church Chapel is wheelchair accessible, and there are 4 handicapped parking spots available in the Church’s parking lot near the front entrances.

I am so looking forward to my first First Night!

Northwest VT Farmers Market 7/25/15

Another sunny day in Paradise, bringing music to the vendors and shoppers at the Northwest Vermont Farmers Market in St. Albans. A good friend of my aunt stopped by to say hello and as we reminisced about Joanie a bit, I felt like bawling my eyes out. I miss her so.

I was born just a few stone's throws from the spot in Taylor Park where I stand and sing. Both sides of my family were based here, and I am mindful of the footfalls of my forebears during their daily travels, raising their families in St. Albans.

And in the present, Steve Blow got to hear the three songs he requested last month ("Crazy," anybody?). Tom Barnes, whose grandson helping out today, had his "Goodnight Irene." Lots of good folks, good vibes, good times.

2015 Farmers Market Season begins

Thursday, May 21 2015: What a beautiful day it was! The vendors at the Waterbury Farmers Market at the Rusty Parker Memorial Park were especially grateful for the good weather, as they experienced rain nearly every Thursday market day in the past two years.

No complaints on that score today! Sunny, a bit breezy, and just right for bringing music to the vendors and shoppers.

Here's the website for you, with more information on the Waterbury Farmers Market:
